On Friday, November 11, 2016 9:00 a.m., the Cater Elementary 5th Graders will present a program to honor the veterans, active-service, and first-responders of our Cater family. We are still collecting for our canned food drive, so this is a great opportunity to bring your donations for that.

Thank you to all the moms, grandmas, aunts, sisters, etc. that came out to Move and Groove, which made our first "Movin' and Groovin' with Mom" a huge success! We had 34 adults and 42 students participate. Also, thank you to the staff members who helped with sign in and passing out fruit and water. When: Friday Nov. 4th
Where: Cater Gym
Time: 7:10 am-7:40 am--Come and go as needed.
What: We will introduce you to cardio drumming! Fun! Fun!
(Don’t let the word “cardio” scare you. It’s not that intense. You
can do as much or as little as you need to do.)
Who: Bring your mom or other lady in your life.
There will be a Drumming with Dad in the spring so plan ahead for
that one!

The 4th grade classes are having a Pie Sale to raise money to buy class sets of novels. We have pumpkin, pecan, cherry, buttermilk, chocolate and apple to choose from. Pies are $12 each. The last day to order is November 15. Click the headline for the order form. Please help support this cause! This will help our students FALL into great literature!

The 4th and 5th grade students would like to thank the Temple Fire Department for coming out and playing kickball with our kids on September 30. A great time was had by all! THANK YOU!!!

Cater students in 3rd-5th grade competed in the Temple Sport Stacking tournament which was held on Oct. 1st at Temple High School. Click the headline to find out how our Cater Cougars did and read about the benefits of sport stacking.

Come to the Open House and PTO meeting on Tuesday, 10/11.16 from 5:30-7:00. Visit the classrooms from 5:30- 6:30. Enjoy dinner and a choir performance at 6:30. We hope to see you there!

YourHealthYourCommUNITY ~ A Day of Wellness will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016 ~ 10am – 2pm at Ralph Wilson Youth Club at 1515 South 25th St. Click "Read More" for more information.

Fall Pictures will be taken on Monday, September 26. All student will have their pictures taken. If you wish to purchase photo packages, please be sure to turn in the order form by Monday, September 26.

The City of Temple has held their final Project Redirectory. Students from Cater brought nearly 2,000 old phone books to recycle. This was the most collected among the campuses in TISD. Tanya Gray, Executive Director, Keep Temple Beautiful and Temple Mayor Danny Dunn presented a check to Cater in the amount of $300 for collecting the most phone books. Way to go Cater Cougars!
